Presentations by Sajah Popham
Thursday Afternoon Intensive ~ 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm
"Astro-Herbalism: The Medicine of Plants and Planets"
Astrology was once a necessary sister science to not only the study of herbalism, but alchemy and spagyrics as well. In this class, Sajah Popham outlines the core principles of how to integrate astrology in our practice and understanding of herbalism. He will explore the concept of "star signatures" and how to read the energetic patterns of the Planets in plants as well as people for a truly holistic herbal system that unites the above and below. You will also learn a technique from Nicholas Culpeper on how to create an herbal formula to match your birth chart.

August 28, Friday ~ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
"Alchemy, Spagyrics and Evolutionary Herbalism, Part I: Theory"
In Part I of this two-part class, Sajah Popham, founder of Organic Unity, will share the art and science of alchemy and spagyrics in their applications towards herbal medicine. This includes the overarching philosophy of alchemy, how astrology can be integrated in our understanding of plants, and their synthesis in the practice of spagyrics. You will also learn the basic alchemical theory of health and disease, as well as the energetic architecture of plants, including the 7 Planets, the 5 Elements, and the 3 Philosophical Principles for a truly holistic and universal understanding of herbalism that not only heals, but transforms.

August 29, Saturday ~ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
"Alchemy, Spagyrics and Evolutionary Herbalism Part II: Practice"
In Part II of this class, we will move from alchemical theory and into the practice and art of preparing spagyric medicines. You will learn what to do with the marc leftover from your tinctures, how to synthesize the art of fermentation and distillation the create the Spagyric Essence, and how to apply spagyric medicines in a way that is equally rejuvenative for the body, and evolutionary for the soul. Through charting the relationships our herbal medicine have to esoteric sciences such as the Qabalah and Tarot, we are able to see more deeply into the true essential nature of plants and their relationship to the archetypal realm.
